500 – 1,500 ml ATF Perfusion-SUB

Medium size CellRetention™ keep HFF free from fouling

World only P-SUB performing ATF method combines:

  • Alternating broth flow by Thalia diaphragm Alternating-Single-Use-Pump (TM80 A-SUP)
  • Ultra-low dead-volume between HFF and SUB bottom outlet
  • Ultra-low dead-volume between HFF and Thalia SUP
  • HFF (Hollow-Fibre-Filter) fouling free process with innovative diaphragm pump
  • 500 – 1,500 ml Working Volume fully pre-assembled P-SUB (2,000 ml Vessel Volume)

Industry leading architecture P-SUB pre-installed with:

  • HFF (Hollow-Fibre-Filter) with direct connection (no Luer-Lok or TRI-clamps) for reduced shear stress
  • Ground-breaking LASER guided diaphragm Single-Use-Pump (SUP)
  • Single-Use-Sensors (SUS) for DO, pH, bio-mass, temp, level

Right photo show with VisiWell, OneFerm, InCyte patch pre-installed (VisiFerm and InCyte RUS not included). All three photos show the 1500 P-SUB mounted in the Heating-Support-Foot bolted on the MST separating the black heavy servo motor from the SUB. The HSF is a perfect thermal control with sufficient contact to the SUB surface for temperature accuracy. Red LASER sensor mounted in a Re-Usable-Bracket above the dome of the Thalia TM80 A-SUE. Clotho controller require the cable to the LASER sensor and the blue pneumatic hose for drive gas to Thalia. Right photo show vertical arranged SKYsupport bolted onto the HFF/MST for easy support of gas cooler. This unique arrangement combining the SUG, SUP and HFF offer minimum dead volume.

General features of CellRetention™ medium size P-SUB:

  • No space consuming heavy servo motor attached to the bioreactor head plate - take advantage of Magnetic-Bottom-Drive (MBD) of the P-SUB
  • Designed with 5 x PG 13.5 head plate ports and 6 ports for In&Out with small diameter hoses
  • Exchanged broth volume fully programmable at Clotho and obtained velocity accurately measured – no guessing
  • HFF could be Meissner SepraPor XFCM20, 13 x 1.0 mm straw/lumen, 85 cm2 area, direct coupled, lower shear stress, barb side ports
  • HFF could be Spectrum (D02-P20U-10-N) with pore 0.2 µm, 14 x 1.0 mm straw/lumen, 75 cm2 area, direct coupled, Luer-Lok side ports
  • The complete and pre-assembled P-SUB unit packed in dual film bags and precision irradiated – forget the autoclave
  • SUB dim is OD 110 x 230 mm for 2.1 liter Vessel Volume (VV) ranging from 500 ml up to 1,500 ml Working Volume (WV)
  • Thermal control with the Heating-Support-Foot (HSF) available for either 110 VAC or 230 VAC

Further P-SUB medium features:

  • Comes with Magnetic-Bottom-Drive (MBD) for up to 250 RPM for use with MST
  • One pitch blade impeller
  • 3 small diameter weldable hoses length 600 to 900 mm
  • 1 small short hose with 5 cm2 sterile filter for aeration
  • 1 small short hose with swabable valve for bottom sampling
  • Optional exhaust gas cooler
  • 1 exhaust hose with 26 cm2 sterile filter - select the Sterile-Filter-Heater
  • Need for electrical temperature control = Heating-Support-Foot (HSF)

The Hamilton DO, pH SUS mounted in the head plate and InCyte patch on the side wall. The Thalia A-SUP are fixed to the P-SUB head plate and as such a very compact solution. Direct connected HFF to Thalia for better flow performance and lower shear stress. See this link - stress free connections

The PG 13.5 ports are used for:

  1. One port pre-installed with the OneFerm pH Single-Use-Sensor (SUS) K( or VP
  2. One port pre-installed with the VisiWell Single-Use-Well (SUW) designed for VisiFerm (RUS) DO sensor
  3. Side port pre-installed with the InCyte patch designed for the Hamilton InCyte bio-mass (RUS)
  4. extra PG 13.5 ports
  5. Bottom side port connection to the HFF and the diaphragm SUP
