Clotho and Lachesis drive SUPs used in series 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 P-SUBs
Clotho - are the smallest of the 3 sisters - a dual channel Drive Unit for two independently operating small SUPs.
Lachesis – drives a larger range of SUPs – a single channel Drive Unit operating one SUP.

Design
Clotho and Lachesis software (Linux and Codesys) is loaded into the ultra compact Drive Unit maximizing the performance of Clio type of One-way-Single-Use-Pump and the Thalia Alternating-Single-Use-Pump.
Clio and Thalia SUPs is integrated with a SepraPor HFF and a Single-Use-Bioreactor (SUB) for high density cell cultivation operating in perfusion mode. The P-SUBs (any of series 30, 31, 32, 33, 34) integrates either the Clio or Thalia (O-SUP or A-SUP) with the Hollow-Fiber-Filter (HFF), and Single-Use-Sensors (SUS) - all in one package ready to use. Clotho Drive Unit controls accurately the pumped/exchanged volume and the velocity of the feed stock / broth passing along/through the HFF. Built-in pressure sensors measure increasing DeltaP / ∆P along the HFF for software to jump between many harvest cycles to few cleaning cycles and back to harvest mode.
Driving Clio or Thalia requires pressurized air and vacuum. The drive gas pressure and broth mass-flow are continuously adjusted by sets of proportional valves inside Clotho. The intelligent software with advanced PID algorithms gets information from the LASER and multiple pressure sensors. Any of the 3 sisters (Clotho, Lachesis, Atropos) operate as stand-alone Drive Units or combined with other Cronus-PCS devices.

When Clotho is connected to gas supply from both a pressure and vacuum source with sufficient capacity, then the spec is:
- Drive of one or two Clio or two Thalia size M60 or M80 simultaneously or mixed
- Drive of one Thalia-M100 with both channels combined
- Pumped volume (Cardiac Output/CO) according to stroke length and SUP size
- Stroke volume, %: 1 – 100
- Clotho inform about velocity according to programmed HFF info input, m/s: 0.1 – >10
- Passive cooling of electronics with no ventilation openings (fully closed splash-proof cabinet)

Please check:
Supply gas is defined as: 1 - "Supply gas pressure" and; 2 - "Supply gas vacuum". Sufficient supply is when the volume (measure in "normal liter/min") of both pneumatic pressure and vacuum quality is 1-2 times the planned CO in "nl" at specified pressures.
Suitable supply gas pump's, also in Hephaestus cabinet's are Alagonia. Check also out the Sarpedon reservoir stabilizing pressure/vacuum and reduce pulsation when several SUPs operate on the same source of supply gas.
Clotho can off course be driven by in lab installed pneumatic air and sufficient vacuum capacity.
