SUBmerged™ P-SUB keep the HFF free from fouling
The pre-assembled 13 liter Perfusion-SUBmerged (P-SUB) is ready to use, operating after the ATF method.
Benefits are:
- HFF fouling – freedom to select broth velocities flushing out debris from inside the lumen
- Dead volume – skip all the hoses and plastic connectors
- Cell death - inverted Thalia pump above the HFF and P-SUB cannot accumulate cells
- Shear force – remove all hoses and fittings and SUBmerge the HFF into the broth inside the P-SUB
The re-invented P-SUB for ATF method offer:
- SUBmerged SepraPor C224 HFF in a fouling free operation integrated with innovative LASER guided Thalia diaphragm pump
- 2 - 10 liter Working Volume fully pre-assembled P-SUB bagged and E-beam irradiated ready to use
- Alternating broth by Thalia-M100 (or TM140) diaphragm Alternating-Single-Use-Pump (A-SUP)
The SUBmerged OD200 mm 13 liter P-SUP with TM100 mounted inverted on the SepraPor C224 HFF. The red LASER sensor in real-time measure the position of the diaphragm for unique operation. Hereby full control of velocity and selected exchange volume of broth. Pre-assembled P-SUBmerged-13 with InCyte bio-mass, VisiFerm and Oneferm.
SUB - for cultivation (the SUB is sourced from sister company CerCell)
- 100% configurable design for the 13 liter Vessel Volume (VV) - Working Volume (WV) as low as 2-4 liter in a rigid OD200 x 445 mm PolyCarbonate CellVessel
- Agitation from: 1. Magnetic-Bottom-Drive (MBD) driven by the Magnetic-Stirrer-Table (MST) or 2. via Head-Plate-Drive (HPD) directly by the servo motor
- Agitation by any type and number of impellers
SUB - Thermal Control
- Electrical-Heating-Blanket (EHB) - wrap the orange silicone EHB around the P-SUB
- Liquid Re-Usable-Jacket (RUJ) for heating/cooling with HPD drive
- Liquid Single-Use-Jacket (SUJ) integrating the P-SUB inside the SUJ for HPD drive
HFF – harvest semi-continuous a cell free permeate
- PerfuseCell as standard integrate TM100 with a dry stored 0.2 µm pore size SepraPor HFF model C224-xx2x 600 mm long with 1,500 cm2 surface area. Other requirements ask us.
Thalia TM100 A-SUP = Alternating-Single-Use-Pump
- The diaphragm Alternating-Single-Use-Pump (A-SUP) exchange back and forth broth from the SUB through the HFF at selected velocities - many low for harvest and few high for cleaning
- The high precision LASER sensor measures in real-time and accurate the position of the diaphragm so broth velocity and exchanged volume calculation can be calculated
- Thalia TM100 (or the TM140) will exchange any volume within its spec programmable from 0.1 to >10 m/sec velocity through the HFF securing the HFF stay clean throughout the process
SUS - Single-Use-Sensors to choose from
- SUBmerged CellRetention™ features pre-installed 420 mm long SUS for DO, pH, level/ground as standard
- Also available with InCyte bio-mass SUS patch mounted horizontal on the wall of the 13 liter P-SUB vessel

A-SUP – Thalia operated by either Clotho or Lachesis Drive Unit
- CellRetention™ P-SUB and Clotho (or Lachesis) works with most PCS over OPC-UA and software like Lucullus, DeltaV and DASware
- Drive Unit Clotho and Lachesis designed to control the Thalia A-SUP ensure efficient and reproducible operation
- The A-SUP Drive Units feature programmable broth/retentate velocity and volume through the HFF module for gentle harvest and fast removal of HFF membrane deposits
- Drive units connection to pressurized air and vacuum within the lab
